ESSO is an organization and family that cares about the Earth and the people who live on it. Our home is located at Lander University in Greenwood, South Carolina and we have 32 loving members.

ESSO focuses on more than just recycling. We care about many environmental topics such as bees, trees, oceans, helping humanity, clean energy, and so much more.
Other exciting activities we enjoy as a group are hiking, zip lining, painting, and just hanging out!

ESSO
Projects
As the only environmental organization on campus we pride ourselves on doing many incredible projects and community outreach services. Here are some of our recent achievements.
Reedy River located in Greenville, SC was where a couple of our members walked in hip waist water to clean up trash and even tires!
After the devastating hurricane Irma went through much of the Gulf of Mexico and the East Coast of America, ESSO raised $241 to donate to UNICEF.
Coral bleaching is killing our corals and in return hurting so much more. ESSO was able to raise awareness by showing a Netflix original Chasing Coral to multiple students on campus.
Lander ESSO partnered with the men's basketball team to get a total of 200 pairs of shoes for Soles4Souls, a nonprofit organization that provides shoes for people in the US and another 127 countries. Many students, faculty, and members of the community provided these shoes for people in need. ESSO can't wait to do Soles4Souls again in the 2018-19 year.
ESSO was able to honor our amazing
president, Libby Bergmann with a banner that will help convey our message to raise awareness about our environment both on and off campus.
